AN ORDINARY DAY MEETS A DIVINE HOUR GLASS

ARE YOU WAITING?

In reading Isaiah 40:31, I’m encouraged and reminded by the Holy Spirit on the importance of waiting. May you be just as blessed in reading it as I was.

Isaiah 40:31 – Those that wait upon the lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings like eagles. They shall run and not be weary and they shall walk and not faint.

Let’s face it, no one likes to wait but it’s an important component to learn if you want to grow. All the greats waited on God or should I say they became great because they waited.

Joseph waited 13 years. Abraham & Sarah waited 25 years. Moses waited 40 years. Jesus waited 30 years and the nameless women with the issue of blood waited 12 years. If God is making you wait for something you are in good company. A masterpiece takes time to create. You can’t rush greatest. God is at work turning your blank canvas into a beautiful work of art; a work that He will display for all to see. And when they see its beauty they will give praise to the artist and the holder of the brush.

I love the quote that says that” The teacher is always silent during the test”. Similarly, that applies to us. Just because God is silent during your test it doesn’t mean that he’s not there. God is surely present and quietly allowing you to use all that He has taught you to overcome your challenges.

Be encourage today; He is your artist painting a purpose and destiny for you. Although His divine hour glass may not be going as fast as you would like and amid the chaos around you, rest assure that the grains of His sand will finish at the right moment. In the meantime, don’t move from your position unless He tells you to. Wait in prayer and thanksgiving. Stay still and patiently hold on until He is done painting your story. When your canvas is finished you will see that all the waiting was worth the while.

Wait, I think I see your hour glass almost full now. Get ready because when it is completed He will interrupt your ordinary day and will propel you higher, further, and faster than ever before.

Thanks for visiting.

Blessings- Steven Gomez

Please stay tuned for my next post, which will  answer the question. What happens after the hour glass stops. I gave you a hint in the last sentence above. I will provide specifics on how He will propel you and what does it all mean.

The next post will be called An Ordinary Day Meets A Divine Catapult.

Let me know of your story as you read my posts. Thank you.

  1. Oh, but the lifespan of the common man today is so much shorter than it used to be, so I hope I don’t have to wait so long to hear gods voice clearly speaking to me and directing my daily movements, And anointing me with the gifts of The Spirit.
Great word ‘Steven, and I also like your recent word spoken to you that God plans to catapult and quicken his plans for our lives due to the urgency of our our time and his return. Ben Mena
