A word I released in 2018 still rings true for 2020. May you be encouraged as you read it.
As I was praying for the new year, 2020, the Spirit of God spoke to me and said that for any given year to begin well there must be a good launching pad to propel from; that launching pad is called VISION and it’s obtained in three ways.
They are:
- Through the lenses of God; His perspective.
- Through His word; His written word (Bible).
- Through His Holy Spirit; the spoken word; known as RHEMA.
Now the Devil is a master artist and he has been painting pictures of falsehood that appear to be a better life for us than what we currently have. His artistry of lies is designed to as genuine and truthful. Yet God will reveal how fraudulent those paintings really are.
Today the Lord will have us know that we must embrace His perception of things in 2020 and the years beyond. He is calling us to see things differently instead of how the world and the media presents it to us. This begins with a transformed attitude and mindset that comes from the Holy Spirit.
We need to seek his view point and learn to interpret things through his divine lenses instead of what is painted before us; via the paint colors of cultural influence and the brushes of social technology.
The right perception can only happen through another essential component, which is pursuing holiness. Holiness through the Lord, helps us to receive deeper revelation and truth from God. These two components combined will help us to see things as they really are.
Our hearts, minds, and human perception needs to be filtered through His word so that we could hear God’s directive clearly; to see things that we read and watch as He sees it. It’s time to get rid of things that are distracting us from living a life of holiness and clarity before our king.
I proclaim that for this year our eyes will see beyond the colors of the world’s deception and may our knowledge of truth increase abundantly. Even though the devil is a master painter (deceiver), God will always paint a better picture for His people. In 2020, let us embrace His vision now and allow him to use us to make this world shine for Christ.
Let us see through the darkness and help those in need. May we see his purpose and run with it. I pray that the creator of the universe and the holder of the brush, paint our destiny for His Glory. Lord give us new vision and your divine interruption for 2020.
