AN ORDINARY DAY, SOME KEYS, AND A DIVINE REVELATION

BEDSIDE REVELATION

I have these keys on my nightstand as a symbol and reminder of a word the Lord gave me sometime ago. It began on an ordinary day of shopping for supplies. I was not having a particularly good day, in fact, I was feeling down about several issues going on in my life. As I was strolling through the aisles in the store, I came across these old fashion keys and I felt compelled to grab them and so I did. Suddenly, the Holy Spirit spoke to me and directed me to a familiar passage in Revelation 1:18.

The theme of that verse is this –

He Holds All The Keys:

Throughout Scripture, the greatest revelations of God’s goodness came to people in their times of trouble, calamity, isolation, and hardship.

We find an example of this in the life of John.

For three years, this disciple was “in Jesus’ bosom.” It was a time of utter rest, peace, and joy, with no very little troubles or trials, except of course when the Lord was crucified. But during that time, John received limited revelation. So, when did he receive his greatest revelation of Christ?

It happened only after John was boiled alive, almost killed, then dragged from Ephesus in chains. He was then exiled to the Isle of Patmos, where he was sentenced to hard labor for the rest of his life. He was isolated, with no fellowship, no family, or friends to comfort him. It was a time of utter despair and the lowest point in his life.

It was then when John’s revelation of the Lord came, and the book of Revelation was birthed. In the midst of that dark hour, the light of the Holy Spirit came to John and he saw Jesus as never before. He literally saw Christ as the Son of God.

THE DARKEST TIME BRING THE GREATEST REVELATION

John did not receive this revelation while he was with the other apostles or even during Jesus’ days on earth. It was during his darkest hour; John saw Christ in all His glory, declaring, “I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys of Hades and of Death” (Revelation 1:18).

This incredible revelation put John on his face. But then Jesus lifted him up and showed him the set of keys He held in His hand. And He reassured John, “Do not be afraid” (verse 17).

If Jesus has the keys to everything then that knowledge should serve as fuel and encouragement for us. It should provide peace in knowing that no matter what we go through, He alone has the power to end it and on that rugged cross He did just that. He put an end to the enemy’s hold of pain in your life.

DON’T GIVE UP!

I believe the greatest revelation comes to every praying and hurting servant in his or her time of need. Is in that most difficult season in your life when The Holy Spirit will arrive and say to you ”Jesus holds it all, the keys to life, death, and purpose. Your life rests in His hands.”

The Lord interrupted the devil’s plan with His divine power and authority against the kingdom of darkness. But don’t forget that not only does Jesus’s power lock the enemy’s power forever, it also unlocks His goodness available for all who believe.

If you have been experiencing a difficult season in your life; let me just say that the time for the Lord to speak to you and end your despair will arrive suddenly. Your greatest moment and revelation in your life is just about to begin. The Lord will turn your pain into promise and your uncertainty into the clarity of destiny. I believe today is that time to boldly grab and take hold of the knowledge of His presence and live your life to the fullest and with freedom. This freedom was paid with His blood; so live it for Him, and proclaim to others that Jesus holds the keys of victory for all.

May His revelation bring peace and encouragement to our hearts today. Get ready for a wonderful change in your life. A divine interruption awaits you.

Thanks for visiting.
