A DIVINE CATAPULT

A PROPHETIC WORD FOR 2020

As promised, here is the 2nd part of my last post regarding God’s hour glass. I received this Rhema word in December 2018 for the coming years of 2019, 2020 and beyond. I believe that it’s still a theme to continue because God’s still desires for His saints to do greater things.

The Lord’s revelation started with just one word that He spoke into me and then Holy Spirt began to expound on its meaning and purpose.

I will begin with the image the Lord provided for this word, the definition to bring clarity, and then its application.

The word is PROPEL.

The Spirit and Fire of God launching His people forward.

For this word the Lord showed me an image of a catapult, which serves as a clear depiction of what the Lord will begin to do in us, individually, and as a church for 2020 and the years to come.

The word PROPEL means to drive, to push; typically in a forward direction.

The Lord spoke to me and said that He will propel many people into their calling, ministry, career, this year so that his purpose may be realized in the hearts of many.

God will begin to rearrange schedules, move things in and out of your life, move you from one place to another, move you out of a job or relationship and into a more beneficial one, those who volunteer He will shift into full time ministry. He will do whatever He needs to do to prepare you for your destiny (even the provision of resources, materials, equipment, property, and finances).

The Holy Spirit will DRIVE and PUSH, even springboard us forward. But for some, maybe us all, He will catapult so that we reach the goals he has set for His people sooner (further explained in point #2).

A catapult provides 3 things when it’s used.

Height

Acceleration

Distance

All of these 3 things serve to give an advantageous position towards a particular purpose.

Now these 3 components God will use in our lives in 2020 and beyond the coming years to fulfill His promises.

1. Height : God will propel you to go higher in your walk and giftings this year. A word of caution with regards to this component. When God elevates you it is imperative to guard your heart during the heights or high levels in your life. Many have fallen because they did not take care of the great responsibility entrusted to them. Your gifting should never supersede your character. They should both be used in unison so that nothing is compromised and that the Lord receives the glory in all that you do.

2. Acceleration: God will accelerate the process for some of us because of the time and MOMENTUM the enemy has stolen. The fire that became a flicker the Holy Spirit will now ignite into a flame and that flame will accelerate into the fire of God in your life. This acceleration will bring you to where you should be according to his timeline and purpose.

If you somehow felt that you have fallen years behind in your purpose for whatever reason, the Holy Spirit will make up that time by propelling you and allowing the momentum in your life to continue towards your destiny.

3. Distance; God will propel you further this year and beyond than ever before. He will grant you many continual seasons of blessings and success. You move further in Him throughout this journey and arrive at your destiny as God has promised.

This word picture of a catapult also brings will it a meaning of an aggressive motion towards the enemy. It’s a coming hard against the enemy’s schemes in our lives, and the territories he has taken from us. We must do this through prayer, fasting, and unity as the body of Christ. We must take every thought captive and come against the spirit of division. When we do, the Lord promises that we will break through the walls of opposition and gain those territories back and be victorious, as we move forward in God and not backwards.

Now I must add that part of God’s propelling us further involves Him taking off some of the weight that has been holding us back.

You see, God can’t launch us higher, faster, and further than before if He doesn’t eliminate all that weighs us down. If we have been weighted down by circumstances, sickness, joblessness, financial challenges, and uncertainty; God is going to remove the weight so that we can reach His purpose through us, and begin to flow in the giftings of the Spirit much sooner; because there is no time to waste. His coming is near!

As God’s does His part in working in us; let us also be mindful to do our part in taking off every weight that prevents us from moving forward and remove everything that would entangle us in this race.

Let us take off worry and put on joy, take off unhealthy addictions and sin and put on holiness. Let’s take off pride and put on humility. Take off confusion and put on peace. Let’s take off the heavy garments of life and put on the lighter garments of His Spirit. Because His ways are far better than ours.

The Bible reminds us of this in Matt 11:30 “……His yoke is easy and his burden is light”.

Without Jesus the race and journey becomes impossible to finish. He promises to give us rest if we go to Him. In Matthew 11:28 he invites us to: “Come to him all of those who are weary and carry heavy burdens and he will give us rest!”

As we come closer to Jesus in 2020 he will rid us from the burdens of the past and propel us for better living in the years to come. He will also give us rest and the peace we have been seeking, an ease in our walk, and a season of calmness He will reward us with, as we journey with him to our purpose.

Let us be mindful, that however He chooses to propel you. it will be for the primary purpose of soul winning. The platform he puts you on He will use to bring others to Christ. There are souls awaiting this launching of God’s Spirit in us. May we be faithful in doing our part to propel and launch towards the advancement of His kingdom.

People of God the moment is now! It’s time to get ready for your launching! The Lord’s divine catapult awaits.
