A Divine Interruption To A Season In Your Life

A DEVOTIONAL THOUGHT

One day, I was in my backyard just getting ready to rake all the fallen foliage. I began to think that although the leaf collection process is hard work and at times stressful; there is a vital importance to this season to learn from. You see, in order for our next season to arrive the current season needs to shed some things to make way for its arrival. Basically, the leaves on the trees need to fall in order to make way for the coming artic frost.

This changing of the season has its challenges, but still in all, it’s beautiful to watch how your surroundings suddenly transform into an array of amazing colors; making a way for a new and different season. I believe the same speaks for you my friend. There are seasons of growth in your life and seasons in which God will allow things to fall away. God carefully selects the things you need in your life and takes out the things you don’t; so that he can develop a new beginning for you. In Ecclesiastes 3:1 we are reminded that there is a start and an end to all things in our lives. “ For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven:”

Symbolically, the falling away of leaves are those specific areas that need a transformation. It may be personal in nature, your career, business, relationships, health, and maybe even the ministry He has entrusted you with. Whatever the case, the Lord knows what is best.

The process the Lord allows us to go through can be daunting and at times may appear as if nothing is really happening, maybe even dead; just like the trees now without foliage; they look abandoned. Yet there is a silent and unseen life beginning to grow in the midst of the quiet. Just like the spring when it arrives, giving birth to new leaves on the trees that appeared to have no life; God will do the same for you. He will interrupt your time and season to birth divine change so that you live in the fullness of his will.

Remember, God created the seasons with you in mind. So take heart and know that whatever is falling away from your seasons, God will replace with something needful and better. Get ready because after the fall your spring will come! A season of new birth will emerge with vibrant colors of His purpose and destiny.

Lastly, my friends.

I would like to further encourage you with one my favorite Bible verses, its found in Philippians 1:6. It reads,

“And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns”.

Sometimes we want to hold on to the very thing that God is trying to take away. Today he says that now it’s the time to let it go! Allow this season to fall away. Get rid of all it’s burdens and prepare yourself for what’s ahead. A new season awaits you.

PART 2 OF THIS WORD CALLED DIVINE SHIFT IS COMING SOON!

Thanks for visiting.
